Engine oil Shell Helix HX7 5W40 5L

Shell Helix HX7 C 5W-40 can be used in engines of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles running on petrol, diesel or LPG, even if they are equipped with turbo, multi-valve technology, fuel injection and/or catalytic converter. This oil is suitable for all Mercedes engines with or without an 'Assyst' system, as well as for Opel diesel engines in which an oil according to specification GM-LL-B-025 must be used with a view to extended drain intervals.

The properties of Shell Helix HX7 C 5W-40 ensure excellent protection and long engine life even with extended drain periods as specified by the Mercedes-Benz Assyst system, or as applied to some Opel diesel engines. The favorable viscosity character keeps friction losses low, which reduces fuel consumption, and engine lubrication is achieved more quickly at low starting temperatures. Due to the synthetic technology of the base oil, Shell Helix HX7 C 5W-40 has a low volatility resulting in low oil consumption.

Shell Helix HX7 C 5W-40 consists of a combination of synthetic base oil, selected mineral oil and a package of high-quality additives.
